The story
The service will be held Saturday, January 30th at 2pm in Greensboro, GA at McCommons Funeral home. Afterwards we will gather at the Wailes house, where appetizers, dinner, and Jay Wailes style cocktails (and open bar) will be served.
There will be a chance for anyone who wishes to speak to say something open-mic style; it will be a party. We are looking forward to sharing memories, stories, and laughter with all who loved him and filling this house with his favorite people. It will be a celebration, that will last well into the night.
We want it to be noted, that black was Jays least favorite color, you are welcome to wear whatever feels appropriate and splashes of color are more than welcome. If you knew him, this should make perfect sense to you.

The reception will be held at 2070 Armors Ford, Greensboro, GA 30642. Any flowers or cards may be delivered to this address. Please tell the security gate that you are here for the Wailes memorial. You will need your drivers license at the gate.
All guests are welcome to stop by the house through out the week if you would like to come before the service.

Dear Jess, Taylor and Lynn, I had the pleasure of working with Jay for 3 years at Wilmington Trust. He had quite an influence on my career. His way of dealing with clients was one of a kind and will always stay with me. Before he moved to Georgia, Jay gave me a bunch of ties he no longer needed. I wear one of these ties nearly everyday. His ties brighten my day and everyone around me. Jay will always be in my thoughts and I will miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to all of you. I am so sorry for your loss.
