The story
Lorienne was our much younger sister, between 10 years and 17 years younger than her three siblings, yet a cherished sister. Lorienne excelled in all that she did, right from a very young age. She attended George Randell Primary School and then completed secondary school at Clarendon High School in East London, South Africa. Throughout her schooling, Lorienne enjoyed horse riding and art, as well as cooking and baking. Lorienne studied medicine at Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg. Her internship was conducted at Cecelia Makiwane Hospital , situated in Mdantsane outside East London, Eastern Cape , South Africa. After practicing in the United Kingdom, for a short period of time., Lorienne relocated to Gaborone Botswana and practiced at a private hospital.
Lorienne then married Matthias Hagstrom whom she met in Botswana and immigrated to Sweden where she and Matti settled. Lorienne successfully completed qualifications which allowed her to practice medicine in Sweden, at a clinic in Ostersund .
During this time Matti and Lorienne welcomed two children, Henrik and Rhiannon. Lorienne is remembered for her wonderful laugh, sense of humor, her energy, creativity and drive.
Lorienne, you are missed and loved by all, your smiling face a wonderful memory of the joy with which you embraced life.
