The story
The mother reported Melanie and her younger sister was missing. An extensive search was conducted, but police eventually discovered that the girls' mother had suffocates Melanie and strangled Karola, dumping their bodies in two separate locations and reporting them missing in the hopes that her crime would not be discovered.
